Who We Are

FOCUS (Fellowship of Christian Union Students) in Zimbabwe is an evangelical, non-denominational, and indigenous campus mission serving students and faculty on college and university campuses nationwide. We work in partnership with students, staff, associates and churches to see the transformation of our campuses by the GOSPEL. Our ministry encompasses Christian Unions in nearly 50 campuses, producing thousands of graduates into the world. We see student ministry as a strategic way of impacting the Zim campus, church & society with the GOSPEL in partnership with other gospel ministries. Thus raising God-fearing, godly men & women leaders who love God & others like Christ.  [John 3:16 & Mat 28:18-20]

Non-denominational & Inter-denominational– All students are welcome irrespective of their church background (thus, inter-denominational) and as such we do not take a particular stand on denominational issues nor do we allow our groups to do so (thus non-denominational). Instead, we emphasise the need for love, unity and fellowship as taught in scripture (Ephesians 4v1-6). We believe that we should demonstrate the following: “In essentials we show unity; in non-essentials we allow for liberty and in all things we show charity”.

VISION

Zimbabwe Transformed by the GOSPEL, One Student at a time!

MISSION

Building students into communities of Christians [disciple-making disciples] impacting the campus, Church and Society for the glory of God!

VALUES

1. Bible-based [2 Tim 3:16]

2. Christ-centered [1 Pet 4:11]

3. Commitment [Rom 12:1ff

4. Integrity [Titus 2:7]

5. Professionalism [Col 3:23]

6. Teamwork [1 Peter 4:10]

Why Partnering With Us?

Our ministry has a vital direct impact on the product of Zimbabwe’s tertiary institutions. The value of the graduate has increased exponentially in light of the massive brain-drain experienced in recent years and in the decline in value based morality in the marketplace; FOCUS Zimbabwe is a critical agent providing complimentary support to the colleges and universities in shaping the students’ convictions, character and thus life values in reverence of God, beginning on campus
